Mellaniah Zhowale

Mellaniah is one of the Rehabilitation Officers at Mutare Remand Prison and has worked alongside us since we started in 2008 and this is where she met most of the Gogo Olive ladies.  She is very sociable when she comes into the workshop and mixes well with all the ladies, she has a good sense of humour and is always up for fun.

WHAT IS YOUR PROUDEST MOMENT?

I had the opportunity to attend a seminar in South Africa and there were people there from Prison Services all over the world.  I was invited to explain to everyone about Gogo Olive and the other countries really admired the idea.

WHAT IS YOUR IDEAL DAY

Waking up at 4am to pray, doing the household chores and then knitting from 7am – 4pm.  And I also love the Gogo Olive parties!
